Nancy Chapman
Nancy Chapman has lived in Coquitlam most of her life. After graduating from College she began a career in the Early Childhood Education field. Nancy married Chris and they have two sons. After their second son was born Nancy began her own Licensed Family Child Care … she had the best job and could be home for her own boys. Now semi-retired, she spends her days with her family, friends and her responsibilities with the BCPC Air Cadet League.
Their son Craig found out about the Cadet Program from a friend and so the search began to find the type of Squadron or Corp that he would like to join; of course he chose the best ‘Air Cadets’. The first Wednesday after his 12th Birthday in 2003 he joined 754 Phoenix RCACS in Port Moody / Coquitlam.
Nancy had attended several of the Parent Meetings she raised her hand one night and said ‘I could help out a little’…
Nancy held several positions since late 2003 for 754 Phoenix Squadron Sponsoring Committee: Secretary, Vice Chair for two years, Chair for three years and Past Chair/ Director until June 2010.
Years later… Craig has aged out; he was Warrant Officer First Class and Chief at his last Annual Ceremonial Review, but Nancy continues on…
Nancy joined the BC Air Cadet League as a League Representative in September 2010. Then in October 2012 she became the Wing Chair for the Metro Vancouver Wing and continued to be the League Rep for three Squadrons. In January 2017 she began her newest position as the Group Chair for the Lower Mainland continuing her League Rep position with several Squadrons across the Lower Mainland. In March of 2025 Nancy took on the role of becoming a Director of the BCPC ACL. Nancy’s responsibilities include Coordinator for the BCPC AGM, Training & Education Committee Member and being a League Rep.
