CADET LONG SERVICE MEDAL (CURRENT CADET)
The Air Cadet League of Canada has created an award to recognize continuous meritorious cadet service of at least four (4) years by deserving Air Cadets.
The Air Cadet Service Medal was authorized for issue and wear by the National Cadet Council on May 5, 2004. Beginning in March 2013, Air Cadets are eligible to receive a bar for the Air Cadet Service Medal for each year of training completed beyond the four (4) year qualifying period. A rosette will also be provided for the undress ribbon.
For currently serving Air Cadets, the medal will be recommended for issue by the Squadron Commanding Officer and approved by the Chairperson of the Squadron Sponsoring Committee.
